At the beginning of the game, a child screams "Help ! Rape !" to try to get rid of a police officer who is asking questions to his friend. The police has no inappropriate question or gestures. The accusations are repeated, loud, and part of a lengthy and unavoidable scene. The player is accused of 'grabbing (his) dick', holding him down, gagging him, etc. A side character is stated to have been raped by the murder victim. Discussing this with her is unavoidable to progress the game. She later reveals that she considers herself not to be a victim, saying she is "89% sure" it was consensual. Dubious consent remains a factor. Showing the "scab" the corpse's photo can result in him telling a very graphic story about rape and torture. The player is given multiple chances to avoid this and back out. The player has the option to flirt with and harass women in a rude and belligerent manner. Failed checks may railroad them into misogynist and lecherous behavior, although it is possible to savescum. The player's character is implied to have done this before the events of the game-- calling Sylvie on the phone will have her acting quite afraid of ythem. Handling this sensitively or not is up to the player. If the player digs deep enough, there are several implied or ambiguous assaults. A woman can tell the character about her sexual encounters of dubious consent, and the player can express that you know how it feels. The "snuff milieus"-- radio broadcasted tortures-- discussed in the background have an erotic aspect to them. A minor male side character is quietly exploited by a rich sex tourist. The player's character is also stated in the past to have "held a woman in your apartment" against her will, potentially with sexual intentions. SPOILERS: While not necessary to finish the game, it is possible to talk with one of the scab workers, who the main character figures out is an undercover mercenary. If we keep talking to him, there is a point where he discusses a woman his group took hostage as a sex slave until her death.
