Description

There are multiple passing remarks about rape, none of them were particularly sensitive. In one of the opening chapters of the book (there are multiple perspectives), a woman pretends to consent to a sexual encounter in order to get close to her mark, even though it is viscerally uncomfortable for her. Later in the book, a woman debates committing undesired sexual acts with a man for her own survival. While passing through a dangerous route in the mountains, protagonists encounter scene where there are corpses on the ground and the woman among them had obviously been raped.
