Description

There are references to the past violent rape of the main character, mainly when he is forced to revisit the location and night of his assault via time travel, which is extremely traumatic and distressing for him. The actual rape is not depicted, but the main character tells his partner about the events directly leading up to and after it and some details are implied about the assault itself. The main character also comes into contact with two of his rapists without knowing who they are; one sexually harasses him but is shut down quickly. There are also vague references to the plot of the previous book, where a teenage character was groomed and nearly killed by their adult abuser; this is only mentioned in passing and is not discussed in detail.
