Severe child abuse towards a young girl is central to the plot and detailed in various places throughout the game, most notably through collectables journal entries. Much of the abuse is sexual in nature and described from the perspective of the survivor. One collectable journal entry describes the rape of a child; this collectable is not present in all versions of the game.
