A female point of view character engages in survival sex work. The protagonist is an Indigenous WWII veteran, as are his friends. They brag to one another about their wartime sexual conquests, particularly having sex with white women. They tell their stories in clearly exaggerated ways, and it's nebulous whether any or all of these encounters were actually consensual.
