Description

Women are treated as property throughout the book. They are sexually harassed multiple times and there are discussions of women being sold off to men. One man in particular harasses the main female character multiple times as a secondary storyline. Chapters 8 and 19: brief mention that a woman had been raped years before. Chapter 25: the man who has been attempting to blackmail a woman into sleeping with him forces her head into his clothed lap but she gets away from him soon after.
