Later it is said that people in the cult were forced to have sex with other cult members that the leader chose. Married couples who joined were forced into adultery, and sexual humiliation was used as a means of control. Chapter 16 and 27: discussion of a young woman who fled the cult saying she was raped and forced to carry the baby to term. Chapter 19 and 20: multiple mentions that members were raped, both men and women, for punishment and control.
