Description

With the novel being written in historical Japan, it describes an accurate experience of the women in the time period. This includes forced marriages, incest, sexual assault of women, the grooming and sexual assault of children, and all manner of explicit details of abuse. The main character sexually assaults numerous women throughout the novel. The central and most important relationship in the novel is the main character adopting a young child, grooming her, and then sexually assaulting her. Worthy of note: the majority of the novel is set in the perspective of the male characters that inflict the abuse.
