Description

S1E1: the last 6 or so minutes a woman describes being raped. S1E2: about 8 minutes in, a woman continues to describe her experience and is shown crying both at the time and in an interview about the events years later. The exec producers speak about the events and are not sympathetic to the events, which they chose to air. The assault is described as the victim "cheating" on her boyfriend. The victim is bullied by the main developer on camera and she is coerced to make a personal call about the assault on camera and faces further victim shaming, she is visibly very distressed. One producer is shown being sympathetic to the victim. The rape is shown in clips during this part of the episode. About 42 minutes in, a woman is groped by a colleague in front of her other colleagues on camera. She tells them that is happening, She is not supported, is victim blamed. The photo of her being groped is used as her shot for the week. Worthy of note: an exec producer of the show makes some excuses for her actions instead of taking real accountability. S1E3: a woman is re-traumatized with footage of her rape on live television even after she explicitly told the presenter that she did not want to see that footage (about 26 minutes in). Worthy of note: some controlling work/friendships are described which while they do not have a sexual undertone. This topic is explored in episode 3.
