The main character has been rejecting the quarterback and has made it clear that she is not interested. They go to the same party where the main character gets super drunk and tries walking home but the quarterback finds her and takes her to his house instead. He takes her to his bedroom and picks her up fireman style and lays her on a chair and it seems like he is about to take advantage of her, but then he puts a blanket on her instead and makes a joke about how he knows about consent even though he is a jock. Then he strips down to his underwear in front of her and leans over the main character while undressed as if he is going to kiss her, but just says goodnight.
