The main character’s father sexually abused his older son in the past before the son left to join the army. The mother is aware of the abuse that happened and is still with the father, though she acts disgusted by him. Someone in the town is kidnapping and killing little boys, and they make creepy comments to the main character that imply they may be sexually assaulting their victims as well. The father is accused of the murders because of his past abuse against his son. The sheriff interviews the main character to try and find out if the father was sexually abusing him as well, but he was not. The father kills himself when an officer says that the evidence against him will be made public.
