In a pivotal scene, a man tries to rape the female protagonist on screen. She is saved at the last minute by a spirit who kills the man. At the beginning it becomes clear that a male character has raped a female character. He is welcomed back into the community where his victim lives and she has to see him. Worthy of note: The film has feminist themes throughout and treats the material with the respect and fury that it deserves.
