Description

When they are both their superhero persona, the main female character is frequently harassed by the main male character (who she only sees as a friend) for dates, despite her constant objections. This is romanticized and the two are portrayed as 'soulmates'. The main female character (this time in her civilian form) shows stalker tendencies towards the main male character (also in his civilian form) by having pictures of him in her room (though these are taken from magazines as the boy is a model) and knowing his schedule off by heart. Their classmates know about and encourage this behavior. Two female antagonists often cling to the main male character despite his visible discomfort. The main male character has an abusive father (he is extrememly neglectful and manipulative) and he seems to display some of these traits on occasion (such as manipulating the being that gives him superpowers in order to be told a secret he did not need to know). One of the protagonist's cousin backs the female protagonist into the wall in order to try to kiss her without her consent. She pushes him away. The main male protagonist (in superhero form) tries to kiss the main female protagonist (also in superhero form) on several occasions. Every time this happens she rejects the kiss, and despite the male protagonist knowing, he keeps on trying to kiss her. In a certain episode, the main female protagonist (in civilian form) enters a wax museum with the main male protagonist (also in civilian form). The male protagonist pretends to be a wax statue. The female protagonist nearly kisses him, thinking she is kissing a statue of him, but he quickly pulls away as he did not want to kiss her. S1E9: an older looking character (he is officially 16-18 but could pass as early 20s) is shown to be in love with the 13-year old main character. He magically transforms into a copy of her partner in order to trick her into a relationship with him. S1E10: the main characters kiss to break a brainwashing spell. While the main heroine attempts to kiss the brainwashed hero, he diverts her attempts. S2E14 + S3E3: brainwashing and kissing (on the cheeks) while characters try to avoid being kissed. Season 5: While not being sexual abuse, the show introduces their version of a Siri/ Amazon Alexa product. This product has a female or male avatar modeled after two teenagers (~14). Seeing as the purpose of the product is for the avatar to obey the owner and we see it deliberately being misused. Two notable instances include 1. a character making the avatar say things that the teenager it's modeled by would never say and 2. the season 5 finale showing the avatars being abducted. Worthy of note: There are consistently characters who are brainwashed, kidnapped and tied up. While there is in no way a sexual relationship betwen them, we see the main male character looking a lot like his dead mother and his father commenting on their similarities on occasion (negatively, while discussing their uncontrolled emotional displays and positively, while stating his son is "the image of perfection.") There are also instances of physical abuse and imprisonment, even when the son begs his father to be let out. SPOILER: The father also happens to be the main villain and actively manipulates both those around him and those he does not know for his own gain.
