Description
In several places, this book details how sexual violence was used (and continues to be used) as a tool of warfare by European settlers against Indigenous peoples in North America and around the world.
Towards the end of the book, the author includes personal accounts by people who were sexually assaulted as children in the Indian boarding school system. She also discusses the current epidemic of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls (MMIWG), many of whom are victims of sexual violence.
