Description

A man sexually harasses a teenage girl and tries to coerce her into sexual favors. S1E4: a main female character's boyfriend makes advances at her without her consent and does not stop when she tells him to, and fends him off. S4(E8): though there is no relationship mentioned or implied, an adult male character is seen treating a male student in a way reminiscent of grooming behavior and could thus be triggering. "[His mother] unexpectedly shows up; she tells [his father] that the adult gave him a car for prom, and offered her a job and a new place to live along with a handful of $100 bills. Suspicious of his motives, she asks his father to handle the situation." S6E8: a character gets drunk because he is feeling depressed. A female character comes up to him once he is drunk and they are seen in a later clip that heavily implies that they had sex. She kisses him. He states that he does npt remember what happened, never indicated any attraction to her, was very drunk (for the first time) and the girl did it to make his girlfriend angry. The show creators refuse to consider the situation assault when called out on twitter for their mishandling and victim blaming (playing it off as cheating). On twitter, one of them states: "There was no assault, he was drunk and depressed and made a mistake, she was not drugging/tricking/forcing him in any way," as though sexual assault could only happen in those three specific circumstances.
