Worthy of note: One disturbing plot point that could be triggering. SPOILERS: The main plot of the film is a teenage boy pretending to have been best friends with another boy who died by suicide. This initially starts as a misunderstanding, but part of the reason the boy does not reveal the truth is that he has had a crush on the dead boy's sister for a long time and enjoys getting to spend time with her. (He admits this at the end, though it was not his sole motivation). There is a song where he reveals his feelings to her under the guise of telling her nice things her brother said about her, which is seemingly portrayed as romantic but is actually quite manipulative and disturbing, especially as her brother was actually abusive to her and her grief is complicated due to this. They kiss and later have sex. He only admits the truth after this, for a reason unrelated to their relationship. The girl is rightly furious but eventually seems to somewhat forgive him after he tries to make amends for his lies. However, they do not get back together.
