The subject is briefly brought up a few other times after this scene, when the therapist reveals this confession to the main character's husband (during a conversation that she overhears). Worthy of note: prior to these events, the protagonist (a woman) finds herself alone with one of her husband's drunk colleagues, whom she does not know. He asks her for a hug, while stating that he feels lonely: she agrees.
